Description
Prime University, located in the serene suburb of Kuje in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, represents a new wave in the Nigerian educational landscape. Founded with a vision to redefine education by focusing on creating job creators rather than job seekers, Prime University is emerging as a pivotal institution in the country.
Overview Of Prime University
In Nigerian schools, the focus has often been on creating job seekers, not job creators. This approach needs changing, especially as technology reshapes the job market. Many jobs that once needed many hands are now done by few people or even by artificial intelligence. Robotics, too, is expected to replace more jobs. This trend suggests a challenging future for graduates trained only to find scarce jobs.
The solution? Schools should revamp their curricula to include career mentoring. This new approach would help students emerge as ready-made professionals, business leaders, and independent thinkers. Instead of waiting to work for others, graduates can create jobs themselves. Critical thinking, community engagement, and service learning are key to this education.
Prime University is at the forefront of this shift. Located in Abuja, the university, supported by successful secondary schools like Capital Science Academy and Nigeria-Ghana International College, aims to redefine Nigerian education. Its serene location in Kuje offers a conducive learning environment.
The university’s mission is to use technology to foster creativity and innovation. This prepares students to be professionals and leaders. Performance, responsibility, innovation, mentorship, and excellence are its core values. Prime University is committed to providing education that equips students for a lifetime of success, turning them into responsible, innovative citizens ready to contribute to the world.
