The report according to guardian states that, In February 2023, Dr. Duke Okoro the pioneer Rector, of Federal Polytechnic, Orogun in Ughelli North LGA of Delta State was appointed by President Buhari.

The Federal Polytechnic, Orogun, was initiated by the Deputy President of the Senate, Ovie Omo-Agege, and passed into law by the National Assembly.

Federal Polytechnic Orogun’s permanent site is located at Ughelli North Council of Delta State.

Ughelli North is a local government area in Delta State, Nigeria. The headquarters of the council is located in the town of Otu-Jeremi.

The local government area was established in 1991 and is one of the 25 local governments in Delta State.

Admission Requirement

2. Candidates must have completed their mandatory one-year industrial attachment or have evidence of exemption from the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE).
3. Candidates must possess a minimum of Lower Credit in their ND program.
4. Candidates must possess a minimum of five (5) credit passes in their O’Level examinations including Mathematics and English Language obtained at not more than two sittings.
5. Candidates must have written the UTME and have scored the minimum cut-off mark set by the institution.
