UNIMED Aggregate Score for All Courses – Admission Guide

The University of Medical Sciences, Ondo (UNIMED) uses an aggregate score system to determine admission into its various courses.

The aggregate score is calculated by combining the candidate’s score in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and the Post-UTME Examination.

UNIMED Aggregate Score for All Courses

Calculating Your Aggregate Score

To calculate your aggregate score, follow these steps:

  1. Divide your UTME score by 8.
  2. Divide your Post-UTME score by 2.
  3. Add the two results together. The sum is your aggregate score.

Example

Suppose you scored 270 in the UTME and 80 in the Post-UTME. Your aggregate score would be:

  • 270/8 = 33.75
  • 80/2 = 40
  • 33.75 + 40 = 73.75

UNIMED Cut-Off Marks

UNIMED sets minimum cut-off marks for admission into each course. To be considered for admission, your aggregate score must meet or exceed the cut-off mark for your chosen course.

UNIMED Departmental Cut-Off Marks

UNIMED also sets departmental cut-off marks, which are higher than the general cut-off marks. These departmental cut-off marks are used to further narrow down the pool of applicants for each course.

How to Check UNIMED Cut-Off Marks

UNIMED cut-off marks are usually released on the university’s website after the Post-UTME screening exercise. You can also check the cut-off marks in the university’s prospectus.

Tips for Improving Your UNIMED Aggregate Score

  • Study hard for both the UTME and Post-UTME examinations.
  • Attend tutorials and get extra help if you need it.
  • Practice answering past UTME and Post-UTME questions.
  • Get a good night’s sleep before the examinations.
  • Arrive at the examination venue on time.
  • Follow all instructions carefully.

By following these tips, you can increase your chances of getting a high aggregate score and securing admission into UNIMED.
