Possess the academic qualifications specified by the Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board (JAMB) for the chosen course.

Attain the approved minimum pass mark in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME).

Note: Even candidates who did not initially select Tansian University as one of their choices in the UTME are eligible to apply.

Direct Entry Admission: NCE holders can apply for two/three-year degree programs in the Faculty of Education.

  • Registration with the University Health Center is mandatory and a prerequisite for students to gain admittance to the hall of residence.
  • Only registered students are eligible to receive medical treatment at the University Health Center.
  • During registration, students are required to complete a form containing their personal information, previous medical history, drug history (including reactions), and the contact details of their next of kin.

New students are further expected to provide a recent chest x-ray, two passport-sized photographs, and undergo a comprehensive medical examination, including laboratory tests.

Upon completion of registration, each student receives a clinic card, which they must present during every visit to the clinic.

Tansian University takes pride in its radio station, Tansian University Radio, broadcasting on 107.1 FM. The radio station operates from a state-of-the-art Mass Communication studio, primarily designed to provide practical education for Mass Communication students.

The Mass Communication Studio includes various components:

These studios are well-equipped and fully functional. Tansian Campus Radio, as it is known, has a coverage radius of approximately 50 kilometers within Anambra State and beyond, broadcasting on the frequency 107.1 MHz. The radio station is at the forefront of experimenting with web-based forms of radio broadcasting, podcasting, and traditional FM broadcasting.

The programming on Tansian Campus Radio is primarily produced by Mass Communication students of Tansian University, as well as volunteers from the student and staff community and members of the wider community. 

While the radio station serves as a platform for practical training for Mass Communication students, it also provides alternative programming for its audience. This includes music, particularly exclusive campus music, in-depth spoken word content, and formal educational programming.

The radio station serves as a source of inspiration for those interested in understanding how mass media shape culture in today’s electronically mediated world. It also acts as a link between the university and marginalized groups through information technologies, fostering discussions, sharing educational experiences, providing timely information, and facilitating networking with other university communities.
